70 youth from XYZ and the Boys and Girls Clubs of National City paint TOMS Shoes to benefit local moms on Mother’s Day and helping to send a needed pair of new shoes to children in South Africa. Youth learned about the living condition of youth in other parts of the world.
	3rd graders from Explorer Elementary participated in Marine Debris Days, cleaned up the port of San Diego and created posters to educate residents in the coastal communities of San Diego County on the threat of urban run-off to our beaches and ocean habitats.
XYZ Middle and High School youth create mosaic tables to benefit the future residents of new homes from San Diego Habitat for Humanity. Youth learned about the housing crisis and homelessness impacting San Diego residents.
